Will WHO assign a Greek-letter (or successor scheme) variant name to a hantavirus lineage in 2026?
WHO introduced Greek-letter naming for SARS-CoV-2 variants in May 2021 (Alpha, Delta, Omicron). Tracks whether a similar public naming convention is applied to a hantavirus lineage of concern.
Resolves YES if WHO or ICTV publicly assigns a non-numeric public-facing alias (Greek letter or successor scheme) to a hantavirus lineage before 2026-12-31.
On settlement the oracle attaches a signed snapshot of each source URL plus a SHA-256 hash of the page content captured at resolution time. Disputes have a 7-day arbitration window.
